Monthly Webinar Update: November 2022

Monthly Webinar Update: November 2022

November brings shorter days, cooler temperatures, and family celebrations to many parts of the world. It can be a challenge to keep up during this time of year, so we offer some support in our growing community. Our family webinars have created a global community of parents, grandparents, and professionals who share their experiences, questions, and encouragement.

This month we want to highlight our three webinars for families:

  • How-To Guide for Families— Join us on November 8th and 22nd at 1:00pm ET to get started right away if you suspect your child has autism. Learn evidence-based strategies to engage your child in everyday activities and help develop your child’s social communication skills. Read more and register.
  • What does it take to learn to talk? Baby Navigator brings this webinar to you at 1:00pm ET on Thursday, November 3rd and 17th. Come and watch videos together that show how to turn activities you’re doing everyday into learning moments for your baby. Read more and register.
  • About Autism in Toddlers—On the first Friday of each month at 12:00 noon ET, we offer our About Autism in Toddlers webinar, a companion to our signature course that is FREE for everyone. Our First Friday for this month is on November 4th. Read more and register.

Professionals are encouraged to attend our family webinars, and we also want to remind you about our professional webinars for doctors and other healthcare providers who screen and diagnose young children.

Autism can be diagnosed by 18-24 months of age, yet the average age of diagnosis in the US still hovers at 4-5 years. We offer 2 webinars to sharpen your observation skills. Don’t be the one who says “let’s wait and see” when you have the chance to help a family to act early.

  • Improving Early Detection of Autism with an Eye Toward Infancy—This special webinar will sharpen your observation skills of the early signs of autism in infants and toddlers and offer practical strategies on how to use Baby Navigator for surveillance & screening in your busy practice to engage families earlier. Join us on Tuesday, November 8th at 8:30 PM ET. Read more and register.
  • Sharpen Your Observation Skills Using the SORF for Earlier Detection—This advanced webinar offers a unique training opportunity to practice observing early signs of autism and to score the SORF. This webinar is held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday each month. Join us on Thursday, November 10th at 12:30pm ET. Please note, we will not hold this webinar on Thursday, November 24th as we are closed for Thanksgiving. Read more and register.
